The amount of acronyms involved in the college application process is maddening. It almost feels like you need a class to apply to the place where they teach classes. Two of the big things you need to know are FAFSA and CSS. Why? These are two of the paths that help your future college graduate get financial aid like scholarships.

The CSS Profile

The College Scholarship Service Profile is an application for financial aid that some schools, mostly private, use in the financial aid process.

FAFSA

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a federal form used by all universities in the US. Every college hopeful should fill out the FAFSA form.
